As usual, I overdid it on the slopes and gave myself a pretty intense knee injury. When will I learn?!

OK I didn’t learn. Tried to get back out there today on my injured knee and no joke, hurt the other knee! Can’t stop won’t stop lol!

My new physical therapist’s office! Going to be spending a lot of money on parking over the next few months! Ha!

All this PT and I’m still hobbling around the joint like an old man. What gives?

My legs have totally atrophied from these injuries! Need to get this fixed so I can get back to my peak before I hit 50!

Had to bring a chair to sit in on the sideline at the kid’s soccer game today. Old man vibes. Farah will never let me live this one down!

Checking out a new doc today. Still no answers on this progressive weakness. Time to see a neurologist. Didn’t think I ever needed to be seeing the orthopedist…

Going through lots of tests now. It appears some of the issues I’m having are spreading to my hands/fingers.

Most of my tests are coming back normal. Good news but very confusing.

Had some more scans today, and another test that measured the signals from my brain to my limbs. Still no answers.

Seeing a new neuromuscular specialist today.

Well, folks, the news couldn’t be worse. I received a crushing diagnosis today. It appears I have ALS, also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. Going to fight this thing with everything I have.

Hello all. This is Farah. Just wanted to give you an update. We are moving Amir into hospice today.

This is Farah. We said our final goodbyes to Amir today. He passed peacefully in his sleep while surrounded by his loving family. He never lost his sense of humor, even while fighting this cruel and punishing illness. As long as he had breath in his
lungs, he brought a smile to everyone’s face. We will miss him more than words can say.
