Been spending too much time writing late-night lab reports on this computer! My doctor told me today I have tendinitis! It’s been causing terrible weakness in my wrists.

Steroid injections! Really hoping this helps my wrists!

I teach dance on Sundays and my girls have their first performance this weekend. So proud of our hard work!

Getting X-rays of my wrist. The brace, injection, nothing seems to be helping. Sometimes I think it may be getting better, but then it will get worse again :(

Wow, fell down the stairs at school today. I'm sore…don’t think I’ll be teaching many dance lessons over the next few weeks. :(

Going to a new doctor. The weakness in my arms seems to be spreading to my legs now. Getting really worried. Feel like an old lady!

I’m so sad, it’s been too difficult to keep up with my dance instruction so I’m stepping down from my position. I love these girls and am going to miss working with them so much! :(

Having something called a nerve conduction study done. This should give us an idea of what is causing all the muscle weakness I’ve been experiencing. Fingers crossed…

Feeling really down today. So glad I always have my sister to cheer me up.

Thanks for your support over these last few months as I’ve been facing physical challenges. I learned today that I likely have multiple sclerosis. You may have heard it called MS.

I am continuing to do physical therapy and considering my options for treatment. I’m so lucky to have my family.

Bringing Priya to University Hospital for a second opinion. Hoping for good news.

More tests! I am used to acing my tests, but these medical tests aren’t going quite as well…

After further testing, my doctors tell me I have a rare subtype of a disease called CIDP. I have an atypical pure motor variant form of the disease, which causes progressive motor weakness.

Feeling overwhelmed! It’s so difficult to find doctors who are experts in my illness!

I started corticosteroids today! Feeling hopeful this is the answer I’ve been looking for!

Priya has had a flare-up of her CIDP symptoms this week. We have been providing a bit more support than usual, as she has been in bed trying to recover. Keep her in your thoughts.

Trying a new treatment today—plasmapheresis. Back at the hospital for this one.

I’m doing much better after the plasmapheresis. Still not feeling like my old self but I’m feeling much better than I did after the steroids…
