Think the band has been playing too many late-night gigs lately…dealing with some drummer’s elbow over here!

Any drummer friends ever pinched a nerve in their arm? I am having all this tingling and prickling in my right forearm, think it may be a pinched nerve from overplaying. Ever experienced this? What helped?

Making my third trip to the doc this week; good thing I work in the same building as her clinic!

You know your hobbies are taking over when the band injury forces you to call out of work! Can’t hold the scope properly in the exam room with this forearm thing.

Doc says I gotta give it a rest. Says my problems are due to a repetition injury. No playing for a little while so I can heal.

We’re cancelling shows for the rest of the year.

Checking out a new doc today—got a good recommendation for a neurologist. I’ve not played in months and I’m no better. I’ve still got the weakness and tingling sensation in my arm. In fact, things seem to be getting worse. Such a drag…

Having a nerve conduction study today. Let’s hope these guys can figure something out for me.

They’re telling me I have something called MMN. May never play the drums again. Gutted.

My kids are trying to cheer me up, reminding me there are treatment options. Trying steroids…send some positive vibes.

Steroids not working. Had to take a leave of absence from work. Can’t even hold up a pen these days. The sensory issues are also making me lose my mind! Feeling like I can’t take another hit.

Trying something else. They’re going to put me on something called IVIG. Guess they’re going to straight up inject me with some antibodies to help this thing. Whatever, I’ll try anything at this point.

Think this IVIG is working a little. Hard to tell, may just be wishful thinking. Hard to feel hopeful now.

Taking Dad to see a neuromuscular specialist. Took some convincing to try something new, but we gotta keep trying!

Well, this is weird…guess they got my diagnosis wrong. They’re telling me now I have something called MADSAM, which is similar to but different from MMN.
